Declared a National Park in April 8, 1949, Plitvice Lakes is Croatian oldest National Park. Plitvice Lakes consist of 16 larger and smaller lakes connected by waterfalls and their appearance is a genuine natural attraction.
They consist of:
Upper Lakes: Prošćansko, Ciginovac, Okrugljak, Batinovac, Big Lake, Little Lake, Vir, Galovac, Charm, Gradinsko Lake, Burgeti and the largest lake of Plitvice – Kozjak. Lower Lakes: Milanovac, Gavanovac, Kaluđerovac and Novakovića Brod.
